Auslandsjahr 2016/17 Kanada: #4 Ankunft und erste Wochen / Arrival and first weeks

Hello :)
Ich bin jetzt bereits seit 23 Tagen in Kanada und mir geht es super gut :) Ich habe mich dazu entschieden meinen Blog ab jetzt in Deutsch und Englisch zu schreiben, damit meine Gastfamilie und Freunde in Kanada das lesen können und damit ich auch einfach meine Englischkenntnisse vergleichen kann...
Sorry erstmal, dass ich mich jetzt erst melde aber ich wollte mich erst etwas einleben und war auch einfach etwas zu faul :D
Ich bin dann also vor 22 Tagen gegen 3 Uhr mit meiner Familie von zuhause losgefahren und habe mich dann in Berlin Tegel noch mit meinen besten Freundinnen getroffen. Als ich mich dann von allen verabschiedet hatte :( bin ich um 6:00 zusammen mit ein paar anderen Steppies nach Frankfurt geflogen, wo wir dann den Rest der Stepin Gruppe getroffen haben. Um 9:20 ging es dann für uns alle nach Toronto und der Flug war echt so langweilig :/ Die Zeit wollte einfach nicht vergehen und schlafen konnte ich auch nicht, weil ich einfach viel zu aufgeregt war. Und nachdem wir dann in
Toronto auch die ganze Einreise geschafft und unseren ersten Tim Hortons Donut hatten ging es dann in einem ziemlich kleinen Flugzeug nach Halifax. Und da ich einen Fensterplatz hatte, konnte ich diese wunderschöne Gegend schon aus dem Flugzeug bewundern :)
Kurz nach unserer Landung in Halifax stand ich dann plötzlich zwischen den Gastfamilien und realisierte, dass ich endlich da bin :) Dann hab ich auf einmal meinen Namen gehört und schon stand ich meiner Gastmutter und einer Freundin gegenüber. Mein Gastvater war übers Wochenende nicht da. Nachdem wir uns dann begrüßt haben und Bilder gemacht wurden hab ich dann direkt meine Koordinatorin und auch eine andere Gastfamilie, die auch 2 Austauschschülerinnen haben kennengelernt. Und da wir nach diesem aufregenden Tag alle etwas hungrig waren sind wir dann in ein typisch kanadisches Diner gefahren und haben zusammen mit der anderen Gastfamilie gegessen :) Das war auch alles echt richtig schön aber ich war echt froh, dass wir dann nach 40 min Fahrt zuhause angekommen sind und sie mir alles gezeigt haben und ich dann endlich ins Bett konnte...
Am nächsten Morgen habe ich dann erstmal meine Sachen ausgepackt und dann sind wir auch direkt was unternehmen gefahren :) Nämlich sind wir zusammen mit der anderen Gastfamilie zu Peggy's Cove gefahren(auch davon gibt's Bilder). Und das war echt so schön *.* Das einzige war echt, dass ich noch so mega müde war wegen des Jetlags... :/
Am Montag den 5. September war ja Labour Day weshalb man nicht so richtig viel machen konnte, aber meine Gastmutter und ich sind trotzdem nach Windsor zur "Dill's Pumpkin Farm" gefahren, wo ich echt riesige Kürbisse gesehen habe. Dienstag Abend war das erste Meeting der Austauschschüler, Gastfamilien, Student Ambassadors und unserer Koordinatorin Tena, wo sie uns die Schule gezeigt haben und wir unseren Stundenplan bekommen haben. Ich habe echt mega tolle Kurse und die Schule sieht so toll aus :)
Die ersten Schultage waren wirklich aufregend und total anders als in Deutschland. Erstmal ist die Atmosphäre echt ganz anders einfach nur weil die Lehrer hier viel entspannter sind und einfach anders mit den Schülern umgehen. Die Schule an sich ist auch riesig groß und jeder Lehrer hat seinen eigenen Raum.
Zur Schule fahre ich natürlich immer mit einem gelben Schulbus, der wirklich genauso aussieht wie in all den Filmen... Um 9:00 klingelt es dann immer zum Unterricht, wobei dieser dann erst um 9:05 beginnt da in dieser Zeit immer ein Lied gespielt wird, was einfach so cool ist :) Nach dem Song kommen dann jeden Morgen die wichtigen Ankündigungen und Montags wird sogar die Nationalhymne gespielt. Meine Fächer hier alle mega Spaß. Ich habe Kanadische Geschichte, Sport, Kochen, Mathe und Englisch. Mein Lieblingsfach ist aber kochen, weil wir da halt kochen ;)
Am ersten Wochenende bin ich mit meiner Gastfamilie und Maria, einer Ausstauschschülerin aus Spanien, zu einem Aussichtspunkt und einem Strand gefahren. Abends hatten wir dann ein Lagerfeuer mit Smores und Hotdogs am Strand, was echt so schön war :)
In unserer 2. Schulwoche sind wir am Mittwoch Morgen aus der Schule zu einem Vorbeireitungsseminar in ein Camp hier in der Nähe gefahren, wo wir auch viele andere Austauschschüler aus der Gegend getroffen haben :) Dort sind wir gepaddelt, haben Bogenschießen gemacht und haben Spiele gespielt, wobei ich sagen muss, dass das beste echt das Essen war ;)
Am 22. September war dann auch endlich Homecoming *.* Das heißt, dass wir ienfach ein Ticket gekauft haben und uns dann abends in unserer Turnhalle gerroffen haben und es war mega schön :)
Gestern bin ich mit Maria und ihrer Gastfamilie nach Truro in den Victoria Park gefahren und es war echt mega schön da.
Und das letzte wovon ich in diesem mega langen Eintrag noch erzählen will ist mein erstes Footballgame. Denn heute hat unser Team gespielt und auch gewonnen und ganz ehrlich es war gar nicht so spannend wie ich dachte ;) Interessant wars natürlich trotzdem aber ich die Regeln verstehe ich immer noch nicht :D

I'm in Canada for 23 days now und I really like it ;) I decided to write every blogentry in German and English so everybody will understand it and so I can see my improvement in the English language (hopefully :D) but please forgive me if I do many mistakes...
First I'm really sorry that I didn't write a blog entry yet but I first wanted to settle in a little bit and maybe I also was a little to lazy :D
Okay so 22 days ago I went around 3am together with my family to the airport Berlin-Tegel where I met my bestfriends, too. After saying goodbye to everyone:( I flew with some other exchange students to Frankfurt where we met the rest of our group. At 9:20 we left for Toronto and the flught was just so boring :/ The time just didn't go away and I also couldn't sleep because I was too excited. After coming through customs in Toronto and my first Tim Hortons Drink and Donut we flew the last flight for this day in a pretty small plane to Halifax. And because I had a window seat I was able to watch the beautiful scenery out if the airplane already :)
Shortly after my arrival in Halifax I was in the middle of many hostfamilies waiting for their students and I realised that I'm finally there :) Then I suddenly heard my name and saw my hostmum and one
friend. After a short talk and some pictures I met a different host family that also has 2 students. And because everzbody was pretty hungry we went to a typical canadian diner und ate together with the other family :) Everything was really good but I was very happy that after a 40 minutes drive and showing me around go I could go to sleep...
I unpacked my stuff on the next morning and then we went to Peggy's Cove together with the other family (I've pictures from there as well) It was so beautiful *.* The only thing was that I was so tired because of the time difference... :/
On September 5th was Labour Day which is why you couldn't really do a lot but my hostmom and I still drove to Dill's Pumpkin Farm to see the hugest pumpkins I've ever seen... Tuesday evening was then the first meeting with the internationals, host familys, student ambassadors and our coordinator Tena where we got a tour of the school and our schedule. I really have great classes and the school just looks amazing :)
The first schooldays were really exciting and different to Germany. First is the atmosphere completely different to german schools because the teachers are just nicer and more relaxed. The school itself is so huge and every teacher has his own classroom.
Of course I always take a yellow school bus that really looks like in all the movies. My school bell rings at 9 am but classes only start at 9:05 because in this time they play a song which is just so cool :) After the song our principal tells us all the announcements and on Monday mornings they also play the national anthem. The classes I have are Candian History, Physical Education, Food Technology, Math at Work and English but my favourite class is of course Food Technology because we cook and eat ;)
On the weekend me and my host family went together wirh Maria, an international from Spain, to a lookoff and to a beach. We had a campfire with smores and hotdogs in the evening, too and that was just amazing :)
We went to Camp Brigadoon for an orientation in our second school week where we met many other Internationals from the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. There we went canoeing, did some archery and played many games but honestly the best thing about it wa sthe food because it wa sso delicious ;)
On September 22nd was then finally our Homecoming Dance, so we all bought a ticket and then went to our gym at av in the evening to dance and it was really fun :)
Yesterday I also went with Maria and her host familybto Truro in the victoria parc ehich was really beautiful :)
The last thing I wanted to talk about in this really long entry is just my first football game because today played our team and also won against a different school but honestly it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be... Of course it was still interesting even though I still don't get the rules :D
